The Textbook “Information security and data protection in computer technology and networks” by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department ACTS Poltоrak Vadym was recommended by the Methodical Council of “KPI named after Igor Sikorsky” as a textbook for students majoring in 126 “Information Systems and technologies”.

The manual outlines the basic concepts of the modern approach to information security and data protection in computer technologies and networks. Models of information threats and the main mechanisms and protocols of its protection are given. Mathematical principles of cryptographic data transformation based on number theory are presented , the most popular modern asymmetric cryptoalgorithms are given. For better mastering sections of the manual are accompanied by control questions and tasks. It will be useful for graduate students, teachers and professionals who work in the field of information security.
